When I was driving to Jacksonville to meet Nicole and Joe for their engagement session on the beach I drove through the town where they lived and was blown away at how adorable it was. We had planned to just do some photos on the beach but once I saw the town of Atlantic Beach I knew we had to squeeze in some urban shots before sunset. Nicole and Joe loved the idea since Atlantic Beach is their home, and we had a blast walking around the downtown area finding spots for photos. Nicole works as a preschool teacher and Joe is a firefighter for the City of Jacksonville so we had lots to talk about. I loved hearing the story of how they met when Nicole was working as a waitress and Joe asked her for a bite of her pretzel… and a few years later they are only a month and a half away from being married! We then ventured out to the beach and took some photos as the sun was going down. This couple was so much fun and open to all sorts of creative ideas- I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in early April!
