It is very easy to say that I am living my dream. I am the luckiest woman in the world to be able to do something that I love, and to be able to share that with others. There is something magical about being able to capture a moment in time in a photograph, and to be able to look at that photograph and just sense the emotion that was present.
I came by photography naturally and grew up with a mother who seemingly always had a camera strap around her neck. I can remember my very first camera with 110 film and I would spend hours posing my younger sister with her stuffed animals for photos. In high school I pursued photography and took all of the classes that I could. The darkroom was a magical place to me, and being able to see pictures develop before my eyes was absolutely amazing.
But then as life makes us busy, we tend to fall away from things we love. It wasn’t until my daughter was born that I rediscovered my love of photography. I remember telling my husband how badly I wanted a digital SLR, so that I could photograph all of her little milestones. It was then that I purchased my Rebel Xti and started on this journey that is now Sweet Serendipity Photography. Several years later I have upgraded cameras, lenses and editing equipment and turned my love of photography into a successful business venture.
