Mallori and Dan :: Engaged! | Gainesville, Fl Engagement Photographer

Mallori and Dan are newly engaged as of the 4th of July this year when Dan proposed under the fireworks. They are in the midst of wedding planning for their wedding date on the next 4th of July and wanted to be sure to incorporate an engagement session with Sweet Serendipity Photography into those plans. We met this past week on the campus of the University of Florida where Mallori and Dan met.

Jazmine and Gregory actually met at work a few years ago and became friends, then began dating. Flash forward to now and they are planning their wedding for August 13th and building a new home! We met this past Friday at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens for their engagement session.

After we wrapped up at Kanapaha we headed to McDonalds- where it all began…..

Lauren and Jacob have the kind of “how we met story” that can go down in the record books. While at her sister’s wedding, Lauren caught the bouquet and Jacob caught the garter. True story. Flash forward and they are now planning their own September 2010 wedding. We met for their engagement session at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens on what could possibly have been the hottest day of the year. Both Jacob and Lauren were troopers and managed the heat- and sweat!- very well.

Crissy and Michael met at the University of Florida and began dating. He graduated and moved for a new job and she now attends graduate school at the University of Florida. The couple has more then survived the long distance relationship and became engaged and are now planning their December Wedding. We chose to do two locations for their engagement session.

First we started at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens for some more formal shots.

And then we headed on to the UF Stadium for some Gator Themed photos.

Christina and Bradley are both recent UF graduates, so when we tossed around ideas for their engagement photos we determined that the UF Campus would be the best place for their session. Their photo session was like a trip back in time for me- walking around the North end of campus where I started college almost twelve years ago! We visited some of their favorite spots for this session. Christina and Bradley will be married on October 10, 2010- that’s right 10-10-10! What a neat and memorable wedding date.

Now Christina and Bradley are off on another journey in their life- moving to Mississippi for work and graduate school. So it was even more special to be able to document their undergrad days in this session. Best of luck to you guys and see you in October! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Jamie and Eric are the kind of couple who are in love with being in love, and they do not care who knows about it! They are so laid back and easy going that a photo session with them is like hanging out with old friends. Since our initial client meeting and the few times we have had planning sessions since that initial meet and greet I have gotten more and more excited about photographing their August wedding. They are both family oriented and so into each other that you just know they will be growing old together. More on how they met and that proposal in another post….

We met for part one of our two part engagement session at the UF Stadium. Laughter was the theme of the day and Eric kept telling us corny jokes to keep the smiles coming from Jamie. Here are a few favorites and look for another blog post in a few weeks when we wrap up their engagement session with an urban themed session in downtown Alachua.

And this one is DEFINITELY my favorite. I can’t take credit for the idea- that was all Eric’s thought. “What if you made it look like we were on the Jumbotron?” He asked…. And so it is.

Stephanie and Lonnie :: Engaged! | Gainesville Engagement Photographer

Stephanie and Lonnie had a chance meeting one evening while in line for a basketball at the University of Florida. They ended up watching that game, and many others, together during the course of their relationship. They also enjoy meeting at Connestogas in Downtown Alachua for a date night. One one of these date nights Lonnie surprised Stephanie with an engagement ring. When they told me this story I knew that we had to have their Engagement Session in Downtown Alachua because it is such an important place to them. They are planning a wedding for July of 2010.

After a cancellation due to weather (rain and Engagement Sessions DO NOT MIX!) we finally were able to meet in Alachua for their sunset engagement session. It is easy to see after just a few minutes around them that they are absolutely crazy in love with each other. They are so relaxed and easy going that our session was a blast. Here are a few favorites from their day and a slideshow of more.

Lonnie had just bought daisies for Stephanie and they brought them along for the session. Daisies are her favorite flowers and they will be their wedding flower as well.
