Loretta and Danny are two of the BUSIEST people I know. Up until recently she has been a full time nursing student and also working full time, and he is a paramedic who is in nursing school as well. They work crazy long hours, so even though their wedding is in October of next year we had a limited window of opportunity in their schedule to do their engagement session. The weather this morning was proving to be less than cooperative and we contemplated rescheduling, but Danny had absolute faith that by the afternoon the weather would be nice for our session. Loretta and Danny even braved the mud and wet grass at Kanapaha for our session.

Fun in the Fall leaves!!! It was perfect to be able to do their engagement session in the Fall since their wedding will also be in the Fall.

Isn’t Loretta going to make an absolutely beautiful bride? I can’t wait until their wedding!

One of my favorite things about engagement and wedding photography is that I can really have the chance to play with light and backlighting and silhouettes.

One of the best things about Michelle and Bobby’s wedding was that they wanted all day coverage, so Sweet Serendipity Photography was there to document everything from the early morning trip to the hair salon to the tossing of the garter and bouquet a the end of the evening.

We started out the morning at the Total Image Salon in downtown Gainesville for the girls to get their hair done.

Michelle and Robert were married on her parents’ land just outside of Alachua, Fl. It was such a fabulous location for the wedding. They planned their wedding for 5 pm, which was the perfect time for pictures this time of year.

After the ceremony and formal pictures the whole party headed to the Clarion Inn in NW Gainesville for the reception.

And …. THE CAKE. Michelle is a cake designer and works at Publix. She wanted to do her own wedding cake but quickly realized that time wise it wouldn’t be able to happen. So she was lucky enough to have her boss take care of the wedding cake- and it was, of course, both stunningly beautiful AND delicious. Check out the monogram cake topper!

It wouldn’t be a wedding blog post without a ring shot. Michelle’s engagement ring was enclosed in her wedding band and check out the detail on Robert’s wedding band!

The DJ and Entertainment from Sunset Entertainment did a fabulous job of keeping the evening flowing smooth and keeping the dance floor packed.

Michelle and Robert are one of my Fall wedding couples, and we met one evening recently for their engagement photos. It certainly was a hurried session as we worked hard to get some photos before the thunderstorms were upon us. We all had our hopes set on a glorious sunset as a backdrop for our session, but once the rain clouds rolled in they were there to stay. We will be meeting again on a dry evening to finish up, so this is kind of a sneak peek to the sneak peek. Luckily they live in an apartment complex that has a great setting for photos so we didn’t have far to travel for this part of the session. It is so easy to see how crazy these two are about each other- and it is so sweet how in love they are with each other.
